Sky or Freesat No Signal? Common Fixes

Rain fade, wind, LNB failure, and cable faults — what to check before you book an engineer.

Intermittent “no signal” after wind usually means the dish has moved slightly or water has got into the LNB or connectors. Heavy rain can cause temporary fade; if the picture never returns when the weather clears, the alignment or hardware needs attention.

Check whether the issue affects every box in the house. One room only often points to a local cable or splitter fault; all rooms usually means dish, LNB, or the main feed.

DIY realignment without a meter can make things worse — small moves on a Sky dish need accurate elevation and azimuth. We lock and test the signal properly, replace failed LNBs, and weatherproof connectors.
